I have just arrived in the Hague on the 99LT for four days work. Brake fluid is weeping furiously from front right hoses. I can't get on the phone to a garage until opening time tomorrow.

Can anyone recommend a mechanic here?
Google turns up all sorts. Just wondering if anyone has local knowledge which will save me paying over the odds or picking a less than competent mechanic...

Now to search for threads on aftermarket braided hoses....

Not sure you want it, but the Local (to The Hague) BMW dealer is called Motorhoutrust.

I don't know of any independent.. If I don't do the work myself I take it in to the above place..

Thanks for the recommendation. I am at the Novotel in the centre so they're not very far away. I had found them on Google, but concerned they might cost the earth.

I have had a closer look at the leak. There is a split in the pipe just above the mudguard at the junction which goes to metal pipes across the mud guard. Just needs a new section of hose.An easy job with the right tools.

Now for some Dutch steak...

If you can source the hose, I've got a fairly well stocked garage here at my home...

I'm not willing to fix it for you, as I'm not covered for liability, but I'd be willing to make my shop available to you for an hour or so... you bring the brake fluid and bits you need.. (that I likely don't have)

I'm 15 minutes from the centre.

thanks

Hi. Thanks for the offer. Work is unlikely to be flexible enough for me to do that unfortunately. I'm a teacher, supervising kids on a school trip this week. However if my manager can give me any time I will be back in touch.
