For all those intending to ride through this lovely part of the world just make sure you know about this rule. A group of us got pulled by the local police chief just west of Vancouver and were informed of the following:

Standing up on the pegs even just to stretch can be construed as stunting which could involve a $378 fine and your bike being impounded for a week.

Dangling your legs in true Tosser style can also be construed as stunting and could mean the same penalty!

Sounds very harsh but the cop who stopped us was a biker and was just giving us a friendly warning as he'd seen a couple of us doing this. Out in the boonies, local cops could see this as an easy way to extract a fine so be aware gentleman.:eek

Is this the plod who told you?

If so, I really wouldn't fuck with him :nono

The last time I got pulled in BC I produced, as requested, my driving licence; my UK driving licence. The Officer shook his head in disbelief at the amount of paperwork it would take him to fine me and simply told me to drive a bit slower.

:D
