Stupid o'clock

Nothing like a new bike, enjoy it Del, this thread has had me laughing, some of Fred’s comments are quite funny but then they aren’t aimed at me, keep it lighthearted but entertaining, that’s why is a good forum.

No problem, I had a small heart attck a couple of years ago so its taught me not to get too wound up about stuff. Before that was a different story, i would almost have boarded a plane and flew out and thumped the ignorant so and so, but hey there is alays the ignore button so not a problem :thumb2:green gri:D

Bike looks great Del. :thumb

Between you and me, and don’t tell anyone else this, but I came VERY close to buying an identical bike a few months ago. ;)

Bet your regretting not doing it aren't you ? Im so impressed with it the gear change is silky smooth and when you engage 1st it perfect no clunks or bangs just slips right on in and gearchanges are smooth as as long as you dont rag the arse out of it. It likes changing at around 3.5k if your just bimbiling along. Magic

Had my 2018 Rallye TE serviced today, 12,800 miles in 14 months - can’t stop riding it, it’s such a great bike, another trip to the South of France at the end of July. I took a look at the 1250 in the dealers but I dare not ride it because by all accounts it’s another step up and the temptation will be too much to resist.

Enjoy your your bike, don’t treat it as a toy, ride it!

Absolutely no regrets here, but next time round, it’ll be a serious consideration. :thumb

When i set off this morning to Aberdeen to pick up my new bike, little did i know that there was a storm brewing on here about my post. Oh yes i knew what fredaloony posted but im a thick skinned scotsman who's not bothered about some antipodean's rant on what was MY post. Im more surprised about the support that All of you except one :blast have shown me. Now ive had a fair few new bikes over the last few years and normally i dont get excited about taking delivery, but this one is different, dont know why, maybe because at my age, its unlikely that i will ever make such a large purchase again. So as otheres have said im quite entitled to be a little excited at the prospect of sitting on the mighty BMW 1250 and feeling just how good it actually is. Im NOT disappointed let me tell you, i immediately felt at home on it and although i only covered about 50 miles with it before parking up at the place where im fitting all the farkles. Ive spent most of the day fitting the bits ive amassed over the last couple of weeks. Still waiting on the front crud catcher coming from Marc of this parish. Its all done except the engine bars that im hoping to do tomorrow. So with that in mind i only took a couple of pics in the "before" mode and will post the finished article when i get everything done.

It's not a RS but congratulations and enjoy your new bike.

Nice bike Del.

What a shame that an ignorant wanker tried to spoil it, but judging by the remarks he’ll flounce off soon .Let’s hope, anyway.

It doesnt bother me in the slightest, its a seven pager now, that must be a record for something ive posted about :beerjug::augie:D

Ha ha !
I’m probably ordering a new KTM on Monday.Think I’ll start a thread especially just to wind up the antipodean arse wipe !
