OK, Heres number 3 (last one - for today!)

Task : Oil & Filter Change 1150GSA

Can you only get the the Oil Filter removal tool from BMW? Checked at local autoparts store - and although he had a list of filter wrenches didnt have one for the filter for BMW etc etc.

Do I have to go to BMW for this item ? Cant believe it...

(As you may have guessed I spent last night NOT getting much done and finished as I would of hoped - Brakes - NO, Lights..NO NO NO and then after removing half the engine guard and the sump to find the filter ...Awh Bull Cr*p ...:mad::mad: - Just my rant)

I got mine for free as its the same size as my filter on the K1100RS and Motorworks used to supply the filters with a free wrench. You could give them a call and see if they do a similar deal for the 1150's.

Some after market filters are supplied with a wrench which will only fits that type of filter, so be aware they're not all the same.

Get one from ebay for like 5 ~ 10 euros (depending the seller).

make sure it's a bmw tool, moto bins sell pattern filters with their own toll these DO NOT fit the std filter (too loose).

I have the Moto bins tool, it does fit the Champion filters a treat.

If it turns on the filter, a bit of epoxy putty on the inside knock it on, let it set, wind it off and give it a smack, putty comes off filter out...:beerjug:
