Stupid Question but.......

I have used different helmets in the past system 3 and 4...being the latest..but have tried others...problem is after say 30 mins of riding the helmet drived me mad with itching..need to stop take it off and its ok for anothe 10 ..15 mis then same again......washed the padding inside and have tried different things.....any indeas ...........thanks

Solutions ....

I could say 'wash yer hair', but that would be rude ! So how about using a silk liner ? or maybe even a Davida helmet, because they are leather lined.

I hate to ask the obvious, but do you have the correct size and shape helmet for your head? I have KBC that although the right size was a little short front-to-back and resulted in that itchy and scratchy feeling forehead. I removed the liner and used some coarse (60 grit) sandpaper to remove a small amount of foam from the front to improve the fit.

Could be a minor allergy of some kind. Certain materials and detergents affect people in different ways! But to pin point an allergy can be very difficult.
Perhaps you've caught hair lice from the kids!
Anyway don't scratch your head while your thinking about it. It makes you look thick. Only kiddin'

I bought one of those lurrrrrvley Davida open face helmets. Extremely comfy and surprisingly quiet. Got a pair of goggles to go with it. Although I must say that goggles are not needed. I can do 100 MPH with nothing more than a pair of shades.

Mind you that could have more to do with the aftermarket screen !!
