I wonder if anyone can assist. I organise a trip to the Alps each year and plan the route on the Mapsource software. This year several others of the group have non Garmin GPS's. Is it possible to send them the list of Waypoints/Viapoints and their grid references. I've tried cutting and pasting etc and it doesn't work.

Answer in simple language please as I'm a Technophobe or whatever the word is

Thanks in advance

On the web there are several software tools that can convert data between various formats. But to install & use them you need to be a hacker...

Maybe you can try exporting a text file with waypoint data using the "Save as" command in MapSource? Select the "txt", "dxf" or "gpx" file format. This data your friend can use to create waypoints or routes in his GPS.

Not easy but doable....
