I can't find what I'm looking for!

A while back someone kindly posted a photo of where the accessory socket connector is for the cockpit accessory sockets.

I want to lash up a temporary power supply and think that just connecting here would be ideal...

I just can't find either the socket, or the picture!

IIRC there's a moulding on the underside to help locate the accessory plug.

Has anyone sucessfully found a supplier of the mating half of this?

Or do i wire my GPS cable back to the battery?

You can't buy the plug for this socket, it's a part made exclusively for BMW. But you can make your own plug, either just by sticking tinned wires into the socket, or by using 1mm crimp connectors. You can also turn the supplied cover into a plug bug drilling two holes in it for the wires and then holding the whole lot in place with a healthy dose of silicone sealant.

There's a part number for it on the on-line parts fiche sites. Maybe you can order against the part???
