Sub 220kg bike for 2 + luggage

Nah, that's dry....wet they weigh c 230kg
Transalp look great IMO. I'll happily try one

220 wet when decatted and some other useless foibles removed.
30k miles on mine now , still not seen anything worth swapping for

HAs anyone mentioned a KTM 1290 Superduke GT yet
A little over the wanted weight when fuelled but only just
I owned one, which is why I didn't mention it.
Brilliant bike until it goes wrong and KTM don't want to deal with it, mine had electrical gremlins. Shock failures are common and a friend's engine blew up just after his first service. KTM did fit a new engine but no courtesy bike, he was on tour in Scotland so had to hire a bike out of his own pocket then get his KTM recovered from Perth to just south of Leeds when it was fixed.

BMW customer service is quite different to KTM...
When I bought the GS it was delayed by a week but they had a buyer for my 900XR so the dealership apologised for the delay and gave me my pick of the demo bikes for a week, I tried the S1000XR.

I'll post this post script....
Firstly thanks for all the suggestions.
I preiodically get pancreatitis/gall stones...don't eat for upwards of 2 weeks, lose weight and fitness and then spend weeks gaining weight and fitness back.
Looking at all the suggestions, I really can't see me and my wife (and luggage) getting on with a bike noticeably lighter than the 250kg ish AT we now have. I'm going to keep it for the time being. When/if I'm ill again, if it is mid winter it won't be an issue. If it's mid summer, I may have to revisit what we use a bike for and look at fly-ride rather than riding a 300kg bike and kit across Europe. Hope that makes sense?
(Buying an e-road bike off here really got me back to fitness in a great way...highly recommended)
