Suggest Campsites near Santander Pls ?

OK chaps - can someone recommend campsites near Santander?

- For motorhome, 2 adults + 2 yr old toddler + motorbike on trailer.
- As close to the beach as possible.
- Camping in trees if possible.

Nothing hi de hi; don't want any of that fancy kiddies amusement park shite. Don't need swimming pool either.

The plan is that I drive down alone for 3 weeks in motorhome + motorbike on trailer. The missus flies to / from Santander with sprog for 2 weeks, and I trek off to do THE VINCE in Spanish Pyrenees for the 3rd week.

Don't really fancy the crowds of the Med, and fancy trying Northern Spain.

Only in passing.....not stayed there.

It looks great, but that area noerth of the mountains isn't great for weather......I was looking for camp sites for the two nights I had to frequently spend hanging around the region waiting for the ferry....in the end i just used hostels or on later trips, stayed down at Burgos then did the 90 minute drive up from there.

Yes a bit of a gamble with the weather there, but I gather that the thing to do is on a cloudy day, head for the mountains to find the sun; only 30 mins away...

Can't be fekked with the crowds of the Med so reckon its worth the risk IMHO.

Will likely take a punt and not book a campsite. Not really an issue as will be in a motorhome (+ GSA on trailer on the back). Gives flexibility if the weather really is shite....
