OK I'm after a pair of preferably, Goretex trousers, must have removable liner, and have vents.

29" inside leg is proving to be a handicap:(
Hein Gericke shortarse fit Cruise pants are a joke, the knee armour should be renamed shinpads!

If I can't find anything suitable I'll carry on with my old BMW second hand seattle pants, the armour on these is too low, but not as bad as the HG stuff.

If it wasn't for your requirement for vents, I'd suggest Richa Millenium. They're not Gore-Tex either but mine have proved to be waterproof.

So long as you're not larger than a 34" waist size, the leg length and armour should be about right.

BMW santiago short leg with armor that can be repositioned, gortex liner available extra. however i never use them,( prefer over trousers ) more versatile, where ya gona stop to put liners in:nenau. i have a 29 inseam and are a purfect fit. the only thingthat lets them down is they are not warm enough for the winter on there own so i just wear ronhills under them. (cause they aint cutting out of them with girlie tights on...just no way)

34" I'm a proper tosser me:blast An optimisctic 36"

Hman,
Sorry I should have made myself clearer. I definitely do not want a removable Goretex liner, never saw the point of a removable waterproof liner. I was referring to a removable thermal liner.

Well there you are then, that's the problem. Trousers made for a man with the correct waist : inside leg measurement are obviously going to be too long for you. Not to mention the increased risk of diabetes and heart attack. Time to lose a couple of stones.....:)

I'm 5' 10" & weigh 90kg. I'm overweight as my legs are short & my torso is long:rolleyes: That's my story anyway.

There you go then, you're about 0.5 ins taller than me and 15 kg more. So you really need to lose about 2.5 stones...:)

You should then find that a pair of size 34 Richa Millenium fit you perfectly.

But I'm hunky:eek: Legs weigh far less than torso:augie.............................. skinny! Anyway, I've posted more than you, so I'm senior. ( my 3,482 v your paltry........3,478....... currently!)

Ya boo sucks.

Where do trousers fit into this conversation:confused::augie:blast

Got me on that one:blast

Not entirely sure if this is helpful but according to the hideout leather site - racer do some cordura trousers in S R L fittings. However they are not goretex and may not have adequate if any vents. But its a start!

J&S accessories do some clothing in Short lenghts as well - worth a search online and they have a huge store in Watford - which as you are in London you can get to!

Trousers now on their last legs:blast

I'm about to try a pair of Cobra pants and will be visiting bykebitz at Yateley Friday.

A question for any of you who have these, I'm a short leg at 29" with a 36" waist. anyone else this size? Does the knee armour sit in the right place?

I've contacted them and was advised that there is a short leg version, and they are sending me their catalogue which explains their sizing.

I'm much the same dimensions as you, although somewhat heavier. I never found any off the peg kit that fitted me trouser wise, and have bought BMW stuff which fitted round my waist and then got Hideout Leathers to make it fit me. Not the cheapest solution, but then the knee armour is in more or less the right place, and more likely to stay there when needed.

Although a set of BKS perforated leather trousers made for me fits best, and I use those most, with a thin thermal layer underneath, and/or cheap waterproofs over the top, as needed.

Well i'm about your height but fortunately slightly lighter (after dieting) but I have a pair of Streetguard 2 trousers and they are great, removable thermal inner and BMW quality, and the BMW dealer will get different sizes in to try. I would recommend them, I think there were some for sale on here recently so you could get lucky. Really comfy to wear and the knee pads are in the right place. But expensive of course.

Akito Desert Pants short?

No vents, no goretex but removable thermal and waterproof liners that can be zipped in and out.

Cheap- ish at around £90

I bought a pair, am 5' 9" with a 30" inside leg, 34" waist and they were fine in the shop.
Wore them once on the bike and they rode up too much.

Gonna put them on e bay but if you want to try them??

(going to be a Lumb Farm next weekend)

I have a pair of Held Nelix trousers. Not Gortex but I am a 36 waist and 29" leg and the armour is perfect for me. They do regular sizes, slim and stocky fit with leg lengths to suit. I got them from GLF Accessories in Flitwick. Good service and nice chap.

i got some hg desserts, survived 22hr monsoon, keeping me dry, also very cool in the heat, theres a warmer liner besides the waterproof one too, 80 quid

Rev'It

Rev'It do short leg in all their trousers, and they do mean short.

I have a 29" inside leg and I have the Cayenne Pro trousers (available in a number of colours including black, have removal thermal and goretex liners, vented, very good vfm) :thumb2 :thumb2

They also do a slightly cheaper pair with vents and cargo pockets although I don't believe they have a removable thermal lining and the eterior insn't as high quality. I think they are called 'Off Road' :thumb2

I've just been to Infinity and bought some Dainese Goretex trousers, c/w vents. £180.

Toyed with the Rukka option, but £300 was a tad to far.

Oh yeah, I went to Bykebitz in Yateley, the Harlvarsons Cobra pants were a total nightmare to get on, feet kept getting caught up in the liners. There wasn't even a chair in the changing room. After seeing the advert, I was surprised how small the shop was. Didn't rate the sales assisstant either.
