Hello All.

The better half is looking for a new bike but it must have a light clutch.

She get`s pain in her left hand and arm. After 1 hours riding.

Ducati do one, does any body know of any other bike that would be easy to use.

Or is there anything that can be added or made.

Many thanks

Gruss mike.

How light? Most Japanese mid-size bikes have quite light clutches - what bike is causing the problem at the moment?

Or she could try building up wrist strength by doing a few minutes a day with those cheap spring exercise things that you grip in your hands. Seriously, transformed a VFR750 from a source of pain into a ride all day bike for me a few yeas ago.

Hello Ahutcheon,

She rides a F650 GS at the mowment, the problem is we live near a lot of passes in Switzerland and after a hour of doing hairpin after hairpin she is in pain.

Gruss Mike.

You used to be able to get a clutch lightener kit for motocross and enduro bikes equipped with cable clutches...it was a small box that clamped to the bars containing a fulcrum lever which attached to the clutch cable, and had its own short link to its own clutch lever.
Thus it gave increased leverage and a lighter action.

If her bike has a cable clutch, try looking for them.

Also, try to find thinner handlebar grips and dog leg levers to reduce the hand span needed.
Again,from off road shops.
