As per heading, any suggestions for visiting Glasgow Green for the pipe band champs this Friday or Saturday?- parking nearby or parking further out then getting a tram/train/tube/bus?
Travelling up from near Annan. I'd prefer to use public transport but the train from Lockerbie looks likely to be about 4 or 5 times the cost of fuel in the car.
I can look on a combo of google maps, street view, parkopedia etc and think I have a decent option of parking on Bain Street which isn't expensive or far away.
However, sometimes there's no substitute for local knowledge so has anyone any better suggestions? I'd prefer to avoid the LEZ too although I don't think the M74 goes that far.
I'll be with 8 year old daughter and 70+ vintage parents who are spritely for their ages but err slower than they were. As such, ideally not too much walking, lest there be moaning

) being an awkward sod but when paying a reasonable whack to go to these events, why can't you choose what you eat and drink there?
