I've just booked a tour of Rajasthan for later this year. It'll be hot and sticky and I'm expected to take my own bike gear. Not a problem, but my Shark lid is heavy and I'm not keen on it in hot weather.

I'm looking for recommendations for a cheap lid that I can take with me and gift to someone rather than bring it back The tour is a bit of a nimble on an Enfield and I'm happy with a polycarbonate lid. Sub £100 what do we reckon? Anyone done India? Better with open face/Full face/ motocross stylee with goggles?

You could just buy one there too, save carrying it over in the first place

Haven’t been to India but hired bikes in Sri Lanka, Thailand & Vietnam and used the provided open face lids with wrap round sunglasses, speeds are much slower than here so a cheap polycarbonate lid will be fine, I would go for an open face and a buff if it’s dusty.

Al.

Just seen Richie’s post, do that.

Buy it out there, Royal Enfield had an open face for £24 last time I was there (mind you it was 2020 so it might be £26 now)

I used an open face lid when I went, it was an organised tour so once off the plane and transferred we were straight on the bikes, so I would not have had the opportunity to go shopping
