Just bought 2002 1150gs with 24000miles.
Since I'm 6'4" I need all the room I can get. Hence the change from various bikes to my first traillie.
I've seen footrest lower's, anyone any views on these? I've also seen the comments on the areo trim which seems positive.
Any other big guys out there with suggestions for comfort.
Ta in advance

I put the migsel lowered front pegs on.. much better! I tried the adjustable touratech ones but they are much wider and I kept hitting my shins on them when I was 'reversing'. Also try to het a high seat or put some sheep skin under your backside... all helps raise you up!

Bar risers :thumb

Foot peg lowerers are all well and good, but make sure they're the ones you can flip over to raise before 'spirited riding' or they'll be grounding out on the nicer corners :)

PS for an instant half in gain in space, pull out those stupid rubber bungs from the peg platforms and bin them :thumb2

The fastway pegs did it for me (6ft 6in) - they lower and go back and so do not compromise the foot space /gear lever length

+1 they helped me and ive a 37in inseam

also as fanum says a decent set of risers with the standing up offroad stuff:thumb2

on your bike the seats mounted on a frame, try putting some spacers underneath to lift the seat, it works well:thumb

Thanks to all

Thanks to all for advice.

Christ, i'm only a nipper!
Do I read info on the Fastway right, that they drop 1"?
Nippy's do a set that take it down 40mm, just over an inch and a half. Not much extra in the great scheme of things, but every little helps? (so the wife says)
I should have said, I don't do off road so don't need great grip or anything.
What you think?
Thanks again

wunderlict do a set of hangers for the footpegs as well i think those with a set of fastways would bring the pegs down about 60mm:eek

im not sure but think they are a bit pricey.

Easy cheap answers

1; take the footpeg rubbers out. Very little vibration comes through, & you gain half an inch with no effect on ground clearance.
2; make sure your next boots are high on the instep. If you're a "spirited" rider you can always put your toes on the peg.
3; get a high seat- & use it on the high setting. You'll probably be wanting a high screen as well, but that's a whole new can of worms
