Summer glove recommendations

Due to a combination of Impatience/Disliking riding in cold soggy wet gloves/A heater/The call of a burger van/A cutie at the reception desk, I find myself in need of a new pair of summer gloves to replace my beloved Spidi Pro 1's does anyone have any recommendations?

I prefer long gloves to keep the draughts out.

The good news is most of the flies have now been washed off the bike and I will not need to wash my neck tonight, courtesy of passing juggernauts and flooded roads (I didn't expect to have to ride in what felt like a 10 mile ford today!)

I`ve got some Bering Supermoto ones....vented backs with solid moulded knuckle armour and kangaroo leather palms.

Proper nice they is...but they`re shortie ones,so won`t be any good for you....

I second the Held recommendation, with the kangaroo palms they are very comfortable and don't dye your hands if they do get wet.

The latest BMW GS Rallye ones have a longer cuff than the original ones (but I've yet to see a pair in 'the flesh').

I bought the GS ones in the piccie. They are really comfy with good dexterity. Pretty short though so they dont cover the end of your sleeves. Good for summer but not winter.

I beg to differ with you. I'm on my third pair now. The last pair were replaced under warranty as they wore out before they were two years old. I wear mine all year round. I find with the heated grips and hand protectors its never a problem.

PS I dont drive a car anymore so I'm on the bike every day during the winter unless there's snow or ice.

best gloves ever.

I use either alpinstar supermoto gloves (used to race supermoto so can say hand on heart they've been well tested for abrasion) which are top pieces of kit and Scott neoprene enduro gloves, very light and easy, can be worn day and night and if you do get hit by nasty weather they still keep your hands warn when piss wet through. They feel flimsy buy are remarkably abrasion resistant. go for the one's with palm and nuckle protection though.

I have the new Alpine Star S-Moto Octanes as shown in mutley’s picture, but in all black which are great.
The are short but have the build quality of the GP pros. The hand guards block out a lot of air flow so well vented gloves are the way forward, but these down give up protect for the privilege. Plus the shorter glove means you can catch the odd breeze up the jacket arm, which is no bad thing in summer.
