I wear summer gloves in all weathers because I find that the finger length on winter gloves is generally too short and because the bulk makes operating the thumb switches difficult.

The only thing I like about winter gloves is the integral vee wipe that some have. Does anyone know of any summer gloves that come with an integral vee wipe? Currently I have one of those bits of rubber that slides over a gloved finger, which works but isn't brililant.

TIA

Richard

Rukka and / or drop into your local Infinity store (or somewhere similar) and browse through the big range of gloves on display. You'll find something to suit you.

Or, alternatively, buy a Bob Heath "Vee Wipe" (that slips over your left index finger) from your local bike dealer.

Thanks, yep Bob Heath Vee wipes are what I use now - but on my thumb :-)

I just find them a bit too restrictive - and I have to remember to stop and fit it when the rain starts.

Some Rev'it gloves do, I have the vapour ones and quite reasonable

Someone has obviously been on the sauce ...BMW Pro Summer Gloves like these have a 'wipe strip' on the left index finger. Mine seem to have kept the water out fairly well for a couple of years.

Thanks. Might wander over to Coopers. How robust do you think the gloves are? My current gloves are HG things made from kangaroo hide (I think) with chunks of knuckle protecting plastic (faux carbon fibre) which are fine apart from the lack of finger wipe. I don't care about water-resistance - whichis just as well as my current gloves are not remotely waterproof. Finger space is the greatest issue for me when buying gloves and is one of the reasons that I don't use winter gloves. I've never found a winter glove that didn't apply sufficient pressure to my finger tips such that the end joint on each finger became terribly cold.

I really found the BMW summer pro gloves very comfortable and the visor wiper very effective, but I had three sets of gloves over 3/4 years. The first pair were exchanged under warranty, the second pair probably lasted three years riding year round the third pair I bought on eBay, very poor.

My experience of BMW stuff is similar. Not sure how many inner visors they changed on my Series helmet.

The other BMW clothing I have has been great, just the summer pro gloves.
