Last evening Fritz, Bev and myself had a off road bimble on a warm summer's night
Ready for the off !!
First trail.................including some black Angus cows (luckily which weren't interested in a couple of bike riders)
Fritz, our handsome host and lead rider for the evening
My first attempts at some 'on road action shots', coasting along with no hands on the bars and both hands holding the camera, whilst trying to shoot the pic
Through the cornfield........freshly cut on the left and ready to combine on the right
Fritz and Bev bringing up the rear
Midsummer skies
Our biking antics launched a flock of about 100+ Geese at the far end of the field, who were having tea on the barley grain spilled off the combine............a spectacular sight
Next to the trail, is Thotnorough Nature reserve, so we stopped to view the wetlands from the hide and spotted a stunning view
Supper called........ and Bev kindly treated us all to Chips at Halls in Bedale (very good too)
More trails beckoned, in and around Bedale
Finally as dusk approached, we did the final BOAT and stopped halfway along for a chat and heard the distant thrum of another bike. Suddenly out of the shadows emerged a fellow trail rider on a Dakar 650
Plenty of traffic on the Yorkshire trails then
Thanks for a great evening ride Fritz................we never strayed more than 15 miles from home in any direction and we were out for 3 hours
Yorkshire...............who needs better trails and scenery, it's all about the light and the land
