Sump crash plate...

Looking at getting a new crash plate - anyone know if a plate that fits a 1200GS will fit the HP2? In particular, looking at the one from Touratech as they have it on sale right now

Hi,

From my experience the GS and Adventure crash plates will fit on the HP but not the other way round. The HP aftermarket sump guards protect are longer and therefore does not accomodate the center stand.

I fitted a Wunderlicht sump guard, very nice

Looking at it some more and comparing to the catalogue shot of the 12GS unit, they look quite different:

I ordered it to fit my HP.
Whether it's the same as GS12 or not

Just noticed - it is different. GS one has a different (less high?) side and higher front piece.
