Sump guards: Why not rubber mounted anymore ?

So ...... why is the 1200GS still rubber mounted

The reason that I ask, is when the HP2 was launched, shortly afterwards my dealer showed me two that were in with cracked sumps from the BMW offroad school. The result of that was the need for complete new engines and the bikes were only a few weeks old

HP2 sump guards , at that time were not rubber mounted, I do not know about now ?

1200 GSA's are no longer rubber mounted and I cannot understand why ?
