Sun 23rd August Trails Yorkshire

Awesome ride, very entertaining and probably a little expensive ^^ (Screen+1 Mirror (fixed one by swapping the bolt))

Deffo up for more in the future, but next time I'll remove the mirrors first, and I think my new screen will be much shorter, so I don't take it out If I go over....

For now Wiley does a 180!... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2R8dIIrD3g

Got some more stuff so i'll throw together a quick video of the off-road stuff (only about 10mins worth of trial stuff, the rest is roads)

P.S. Andy, you managed to find out what was wrong with the TTR?

Glad you all made it back in more or less one piece!

The TTR appears not to be charging. I put the battery on a charger for an hour or so and got it started. Measuring the battery volts shows no increase when giving it some revs so I presume the thing's just not charging. Running with the lights on just drained the battery.

The regulator/rectifier is under the tank (which I've now removed) and it's tricky to get the thing running to measure the inputs and outputs without the tank on (need a couple of feet of fuel line i think). I need to measure the resistance across the stator coils and check continuity before getting a new regulator/rectifier so that'll be a project (along with sorting out the oil drips) for next week. A new regulator/rectifier's about £60 so won't be a bank-breaking exercise but I might as well check the coils if I can first.

Hope to be back on the road with it shortly!

Ok well it turns out i mostly got us on the roads, but 8mins of Trail riding (well including the 180l).

-Normal video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiB5pJea1sg
-Sketched video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFgzp6-QrsE (got bored was playing with effects)

Sorry about the music, the microphone just got wind when riding at anything over 10mph.

Quality isn't great on youtube, and I haven't installed Ulead on Window 7 yet, so just using WMM.

Interesting video, especially the 180 :augie

Thanks all for a great day's riding and JB for leading. Plenty of great lanes, some I knew and most I had no idea about. Glad you got home OK Andy. That wheel wobble was a busted spoke so thanks for pointing it out.

Good luck next week wrinky and see you all on the next one.

Cheers,

Paul

Sunday 23rd

Thanks to JohnnyBoxer for showing us some great trails and fantastic scenery.
A very laidback and enjoyable days ride, made even more enjoyable with a great bunch of lads, and the cake stops were'nt bad either. Must rush off now to see if there are any trendy KTM suits on special offer.

Paul, don't suppose you have the recorded gps for the route, so I can copy it to my Tomtom?

Dunno if you can email it? wocoom at gmail dot com if not i'll try to plot it on the O/S map when I dig them out from my panniers

Swiders,
Good to meet you and thanks for the "at least one foot on the pegs tip"
Hope to bump into you on another day out.
We won't miss you in your new KTM suit
(i cant believe someone would actually pay for that)

Steve
