Sun Shade......how effective?

The problem with most GPS screens is the sun behind you IMO, so I can't see this being of much help.

Been using one of those on a 660 for the last couple of weeks including at German Autobahn speeds, it sits there perfectly.
Of course, if the Sun is shinning over your shoulder, nothing will stop the glare then but for the most part, it works well.
