Bourton on the water :nenau

Bibury :nenau

Somewhere like that, probably.

Baldock

Woburn

MK

Siverstone

Banbury

Chipping Norton

I would guess, back a different way.

Some good unclassified roads out this way, and a few unpaved roads.

Generally keeping off the A and B roads will serve you well and some of the villages around Bibury (Coln Rogers / Winson) of the main roads are proper picture Postcard places also around Burford places like the Barringtons (Great / Little) are good and some of the lanes alongside the river there are good too.

Cannot make this ride but looking forward ...doing...these rides.
Collecting 1200GS..

Excellent, happy to have you along sometime.

Not fussed what bike anyone rides.

I live a few miles from Woburn so maybe I could meet you there.....

I don't have a problem with that. I'm coming up from Tower Bridge, E1 only chosing the Silver Ball as it's convenient if any bods wanted a cup of tea before setting off.

I will probably go through the deer park, that sort of way. At a guess, it's 45 minutes or so from the Silver Ball (Royston) to roughly Woburn, depending on which way I go. So, getting there at about 10:15'ish.

I plan to stop for a tea, somewhere after Banbury, before going on to the Cotswolds.

Let me finalise the route and I'll ping up something in this thread.

I just e-mailed a few mates to see if they fancy the ride out. I hope to meet you Sunday and maybe have the missus with me if I can get her out of bed. I'll have to peel off a bit earlier in the ride because I'm going to Snetterton in the afternoon for some Monday morning madness.

Jolly good.... I will be at the Silver Ball at 09:00 for 09;30 departure... Don't go looking for a GS as I don't have one :D

No hopes. I have forgotten that the club is doing a ride out to Stow-on-the-wold. The missus is not keen either to get out of bed early. We haven't made up our minds yet. Weekend is here.

Ditto for me, must be the same club - OMC?

So, just so I don’t wonder whether to go via Woburn and / or loiter at the Silver Ball, are you GS-Bloke and / or tanneman joining me?

Or are you OMC’ing...….

Ride-out to Stow on the Wold - Chris to lead
Ride
Out Name : Stow In the Wold Ride
Meet at the Oakley club house with a full tank of fuel.
Meet at 9am for a 9:30 leave.
This will be a technical mostly B road route there with a stop at the Super
sausage and then further on at a petrol station in Banbury before arriving in
Stow on the Wold.
The route will be approx 150 miles. It is planned as an all day ride getting
to the BP garage at the A6 around 5pm.
This will be a level 1-2 intermediate.
This will be lots of tight twisty technical B roads and when we rode it a
couple of weeks ago was great fun.
Paul Butler is TEC.

Cotswolds, Chocolate Box !!

Enjoy your ride out to the Cotswolds, BUT take extreme care, although we pay high rates for living in a Chocolate Box picture area, they are not used to cut the verges at junctions/roundabouts, paint roadmarkings or replace stolen warning Signs, the potholes can be a Meter wide. My GS is THE bike to ride in the Cotswolds!! Perhaps i should post the above in the Rant Forum, guess you Guys will Sunday evening:beerjug:

Asi have only recently joined OMC I think I'll tag along with them and get to know a few peeps.
Typical, nothing for a while and 2 on the same day :blast
Your welcome to join us Wapping....

Ok GS Bloke. Chris is a good rider and he probably has a good selection of roads on the way there and back. He is also our ride out coordinator. Paul will be the TEC, big bloke on a Hyabusa and committee member.

Wapping I'll see you at the Silver Ball tomorrow unless you pass close to me (Bedford) then I'll join the ride from there. It is about an hour from me to the cafe or 50min to the BMW training school. Looking forward to some good roads. That is unless you take GS Bloke up on his offer in which case I'll see you on the OMC ride out. Red 2009 GSA with too many lights.

OK.

I had already prepared an alternative route from Royston via Bedford, MK, Towcester, Banbury, Chipping Norton, Burton on the Water.

By chance, it's probably near enough the way GS Bloke etal are going.

I made it as as alternative to going Royston, Baldock, MK, Buckingham, (Aylesbury), Wooton, Burford, Burton-on-the -Water. Either way it's six of one and half a dozen of the other. I was going to stop in Buckingham, which is near enough south of Banbury, so we wouldn't have been a million miles apart anyway.

It seems crazy for you to come backwards 50 miles, whilst I have to go from central London to the A10 anyway, no matter what.

GS Bloke,is going with OMC, as can you. I suggest I take up GS Bloke's kind invitation to join you both. I have tracked down the Oakley Cub House start point, so I'll get my skates on and see you up there for 09:00.... early start for me, as I'll go the scenic way :D

See you tomorrow, Oakley Sports & Social Club, Church Lane, Oakley at 09:00:thumb2

Brilliant, see you there, what bike are you on and I'll look out for you?
I'll be on a blue/black 11 plate yamaha super Tenere.

I now know who you are. I was walking around with the bucket of pucks to put under your side stand. Didn't meet you but saw you come in on the bike. Not many S10's in the club.
