Very very last minute decision to do some 144 OS map green lane routes.

If you've not seen it before, check out some of the lanes on Clive's 144 thread ->
http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=102963

Clive & I will be meeting at Barnstormers (BMW dealer(as if you didn't Know))
at 10.30am Sunday morning.

No decision has been made as to how long or how many lanes we will get under our belts at the time of typing this but I know I've got until the end of the afternoon free.

This will be GS friendly but do consider that it's not summer yet and there will be mud, so a bit of experience would be handy. Obviously TKCs would be best but I guess it's a case of come and have a go if you think your hard enough (or stupin enough), but as I said, GS friendly.

I'll be logging of for the day soon, so I won't be replying to this thread but Clive may be along to add or cast an eye to replies if anyone can make this at such short notice.

So, Barnstormers at 10.30am.

If you don't know Barnstormers ->

Bahnstormer Motorrad Ltd
Gosport Road
Lower Farringdon
Alton
Hampshire
GU34 3DJ
UK.

Cheers.

have a nice day I've got to update the list see how far backwards I've slipped... today:blast

The weather didn't do us any favours, but an enjoyable few hours anyway :thumb2

Only ended up in trouble once - some naughty boys had torn down a Restricted Byway sign. Had a bit of a chat with an elderly couple who, initially, appeared to want to take our reg. nos., but finally allowed us to use their private drive to avoid the rest of the restricted lane. They are keen to trace a blue DRZ ridden by a schoolboy, which always flies past at "a hundred miles an hour" :nenau:

Ice Storm helped to stop play

Cheers for the company, chaps!

Hi clive,

thanks for leading the ride today. Glad you got home fine, i left ben at the A303, so i guess he got home to?

I was really hoping that despite all the gloom and lane closures that came about through NERC, at least there would be some closure on the issue of rights of way, and final definition of where you can and can't ride would be set as a bench mark, never to be messed about with again.

how wrong i was. :blast

nathan

Clive, Nathan,
Yup, got back via the 303 and then peeled off the M3 asap and followed the 339 back to Alton.
I'll post the couple of pics I took & the 3 minutes of footage that was taken when I get in to work tomorrow.

Despite the hail & rain between the sunny spells, really enjoyed the ride and am looking forward to doing more 144 stuff another time.

Cheers guys,
Ben.

Sounds like that Y2blade hooligan to me :rob

Here's the brief bit of footage taken on the day.

I'll also stick it on the ride report section for the road riders who don't venture off road. ;) :augie

Chris, I know you only stick to legal byways, mate. It was more of a play on the fact it was a DRZ ridden by a young hooligan.

Just thought I'd clear that up for anyone who doesn't know you and was thinking that you do use restricted ones. He doesn't.

I made up the bit about the blue DRZ :)
I don't think that couple would know a DRZ, blue or otherwise, if it ran them over.
