The Oakdene looked deserted but when I left I could see a couple of riders having a fag in the smokers tent.
Weather was dry and mild - 8-10 degrees. Roads wet and the route was minor roads and lanes. There had ben a lot of rain over night and I was aware that there could be flooding and trees over.
Some new roads and some old - getting closer to Robertsbridge it was the reverse route of the route we used back three weeks earlier .
Two "flooded" roads. One was just over the tyres and the other over the bash plate and one bit where there was water running very fast between two fields. Loads of fekin horses about although courteous riding past received a friendly wave and a thank-you from the riders. A bit slippy slidy in parts and loads of debris from trees but none blown over.
Nice morning, good ride there, good breakfast, good ride home and a route in the can for another day
