:bounce1This Sunday is going to be great! I've just got my licence back after a six month ban...totting up, I have a really nice loop route. Stop at Cowdray Ruins then back. The loop is 44 miles not including getting there and getting back of nice moderate speed twisties with little if no traffic on rural roads. Ideal for any GS. All of it is on road. Towards the end of the loop we climb up the highest hill in the area with a stunning feel of the surroundings......
Any takers? Nice to meet up with some tossers again.....:bounce1

Sounds good, but I have a feeling Cowdray Ruins don't open till Easter.

You can still ride around them and take good photos- besides there is a nice little ride before then.....:augie:bounce1

Will prob take up tree hours tops.......I took a friend on the loop last year and said 'That was great'....and he has done the Sahara with me and recently came back from India...

I think I've built this trip up too much now-but it is a nice one.

LETS PLAN TO LEAVE AT 11AM. You can meet before but leave then. We can have a lie in or chat before we set off. (A tad of traffic getting there through Cranliegh)...Then it's open road. A nice play area all around there so you can make a note and do your own thing in weeks to come. I hope we get some takers for this- ask around...

I'm just about to get my bike ready and go there now for a 'recky' not before I have a cuppa at Newlands though.....:bounce1

Is it a cafe/tea room?

Shep you old dog- just come down and be surprised or disappointed...:augie

Bikers tend to meet there, very large car park- Burgers, chat, go for rides, use the loo. It's not got an inside tea room- that's the one across the road though called 'The Barn'.

Sounds like a good run. Having just moved down from Scotland I need to find some decent roads!

If I get let out to play, I'll try and be at Newlands for 1030. Yellow 1150.

Cheers

Went and did a recky today........very nice twisty roads. Takes about 35 mins to get there from Newlands. Then we ave a challenginging 44 miles with a pub stop and a winery stop if people want before ending up at Cowdray. See photos below that I took today...:bounce1

ORDER OF PLAY
Meet at Newlands from around 10.30 am
Leave Newlands at 11.00am- Get to Midhurst/Heyshot 11.45.
Group up at pub car park. Quick toilet stop if needed.
Then play on rural B roads....moderate fast twisty- roll on and off power with some nice blasts
Stop at pub for refreshments if people want....
Visit a winery for anyone wanting to buy local rasberry wine etc
Up a short but fantastic narrow hill road.
Fin at Cowdray-photos, Cafe, Toilets.
Back to Newlands or Boxhill- either the quick way or using some of the route we just did...

This trip has some great roads. We ride looking out for the bike behind at junctions.
The route is a loop so not too complicated but challenging at times if you want it to be.
Everyone can ride at their own pace as the guy in front will wait at each turning.
If you want to ride quick between the few junctions-you can.
If you want to overtake the rider in front you must wait for them to see you turn at the next junction....but please ride within your limits...:bounce1

The list thus far......
PLEASE COPY AND PASTE LIST ADDING YOUR NAME AND RIDE
