Ha! So it was you lot...

There I was enjoying a bit of solitude, when bu**er me, along comes a bunch of them noisy motorsickle things. All burbling and whatnot...

I'd thought to meself, "Where can I go for a bit of peace and quiet?"

Lurgashall Winery?

Not bl**dy likely!

Now of course I wish I'd read the damned board before going out for a ride. Could have talked endless bollix with the demented.

Captain, was that you who stopped to make sure I was OK? Sir, you're a gent! I'll keep an eye on the board next time and if you want suggestions for some lovely country lanes a bit further south, let me know - my part of the world!

Hope you guys had fun - perfect weather, eh?

Cheers!

Banjaxed, yes it was me! I would have had a chat but you were very quick to wave me on:eek::(

Was that an SE you were on or just a white tank cover?......nice...

Perhaps you can organise a ride then next time or PM me and I'll arrange it with you as a guide..........
:bounce1

Hiya Captain

Sorry if it looked like I waved you on - I'd have been happy to chat, but with all the others coming up behind us, I reckoned you were a man on a mission!

Yes, it is an SE. I've had a silver/red Adventure since 2002 when they first came out and to be honest, was going to keep it for years to come.

And then I saw an advert from a local guy selling one of the last SE 1150s made... Lots of bits on it and a fair price (if no bargain!!). So daft bu**er that I am, I bought it. Will transfer all the tricky bits from the old to the new bike and then sell the silver/red jobbie. SE should last for a good while yet.

Possibly.

Of course, on Saturday I took a ride over to Bahnstormer and looked at the 2008 1200 Adventure. Shouldn't have done that...:augie

I'll have a think about a route a bit further south - we can use Whiteways at Bury Hill as an equivalent to Newlands Corner (which I also visit from time to time). Usually lots of bikes there on a sunny Sunday morning. And the breakfast baps are really quite acceptable!

Cheers.

Paul
