Sundays trail ride with an Irish twist...

Eoin and Orla arrived on Saturday with a promise of a trail ride on Sunday.
Sunday dawned and a plan was set in place this run would give us a bit of practice for the Cambrian Rally in Oct.

So we headed off down the coast

Next up was a quick run onto Holy Isalnd before the tide closed.

We head off inland to try a track over the hills.

I got to the next gate but i was alone

Back down the track i see this

Eoin assures me that Orla came off and he parked his bike to help her and it fell over and broke a mirror

On our way again .

Smoke break time for a breather .

Then it was time to head up the Borders for the final and my favorite trail.

One last water crossing .

Then it was back down home for a jet wash

Cracking day out great fun in the sun 170 miles in 9hrs

Looks like a brilliant day out. Some of it looks remarkably like the route Aldy took me over last Wednesday. I can't be too sure because I was so busy concentrating or picking up my bike. I really must get TKC 80s and/or a lighter bike

Tkc's make a bit of difference but it's practice and more practice thats the key.I've done alot of trail riding this year and my ridings really came on i even enjoy ruts now

Crackin' run Forry - thanks for the days training! We've a lot to do before the rally!!

We're half way through our trip around Scotland. (not many internet cafes up here! ) In Aultbea on the west coast having been up to John O'Groats. Eoins GPS seems to favour the unpaved roads!

Will post a few more photos when we get back home.

It's funny you should say that, I can't really divulge the full context of the text I had from him tonight...

but

it involved a dr350, which later broke down , 3rd gear, a somersault, broken fence and a cliff...oh and some tears

thigh and shoulder ache like hell

Thats what i get for being cocky had it spinning in 3rd and back end came round managed to straighen it a couple of times then lost it.Went into the fence hard luckly i went over the bars and landed on my rightside

Then to round the night off the fekin bike breaks down had to push it half a mile before we could geta bit of rope to tow it.
You may as well laugh at this aswell
I had my new enduro trousers and knee braces on and i can say the hip armours crap.Looked good though
