Just back from a sunny trip to Scotland. I thought about the hogroast and the off roading in Kerry, but my heart pushed me to the Highlands again for a wee 3 nighter. 29 degrees on the way up, and it included a swim in Glen Orchy. (I wont scare you with the pics). Ullapool on day one, a few beers and a great nights crac.
Day 2 was a quick run North, then back to U'pool for lunch. Next was the West coast trail. Baking sunshine, so I had to give the GS a wee dip near Gairloch.

Finished up in Invergarry Hotel after a flat out tour of the A87, which , for those who dont know, is the best biking Road in the UK.
Next morn, twas off to Mallaig, then the ferry to Skye. Sun was baking hot, and had a wee trail session half way down the road to the Glenelg ferry, (on the Skye side)

The Glenelg ferry doesnt run on Sundays as I found out, but the trip back again on the A87 was memorable as ever. The light was superb, and I decided to take a couple of snaps on the way

Back at 7.30, after giving a lesson to a prat on a blackbird!
Couldnt finish there, so one last run out to Kinlochouran, for those who havent been, it was the most remote and beautiful place I have ever seen. Go there!

Nice pics Swetty, it seems that no matter how many times you return to those places you feel the need to take another picture. My photo album bulges with copies :thumb

so one last run out to Kinlochouran
Good on you B S for finding the less well beaten track. :thumb
The road requires a wee bit of concentration.

Last month.

Was it you Betty

Standing in the car park of Eilean Donan castle last Sunday afternoon about 5.30pm. white adv followed by a yellow gs heading towards Invergarry was it you.

We were heading for Skye for two nights then over to Nethybridge via Laxford Bridge and the A838 to Lairg met a group of bikers from east Belfast at Nethybridge. Another run down the A939 and A93 back to Troon (Brilliant). You gota do that one Betty. :D

(Quicksilver) Doh! It was me, I did see the group, but never thought about stopping, as I had just taken the picture above of the castle from the carpark on the other side! The yellar GS was my old one, which I re-borrowed for Neal to come on the trip. Think I got him hooked on the GS thing.

G.C. great pics of Kinloch Houran. Amazing road. We went for a quick run, took the pics and realised it was 9pm. Did the 28.5 miles back to the Invergarry junction in 40 mins. (includes a stop for the deer in the pic).
The hotel staff were out on the road looking for us all worried... apparently they stopped serving food at 8.45. The chef waited behind and rustled up a couple of steaks though. Where else would you get it?
