. . . along the roads from home to Balloch to Arrochar to Inveraray to Lochgilphead to Oban to Glencoe to Crianlarich to Callendar to home.
After too many miserable days the forecast looked good so me and my lad took off in a westerly direction and got in a pretty pleasant 275 mile run today. Jings, it pissed down between Arrochar and Inveraray. Dry roads. Wet roads. Dry roads. Gritty roads. Farmer shiitty roads. But even Rannoch Moor was sunny.
My lad even gave me a wee shot of his beast - S1000RR - from Lochgilphead up to Glencoe. Far too much for me to handle; awesome in a straight line; you say let's go, it says "how hard can you hang on?". I can embarass myself on the GS going round bends like they're threepenny bits (or 50p in new money) , but that thing is something else.
Here are the steeds after tanking up in Lochgilphead.
Home safely and a bit of bike washing to be done tomorrow.
