What a difference !!!!


The weight loss is incredible and the engine is just so smooth compared to the standard 07 SD (which is already pretty good).

The standard 07 SD has a much more stable front end than the old 05/06 model.

I would have bought an SD when they were originally launched,but I didn't like the twitchy front end.

For 07,this has been fixed as they have reduced the steering angle to 66.7 deg.But the R model has an angle of 67.3 which puts it back to the old 05/06 bike.

They have had to fit a steering damper to calm it down.

Also,the R model is sold out,as very few came in this year,and I got a good part ex as the black bike I got was in stock.

The £500 saving went towards the cost of the Akra full system,which makes a huge difference to the bike.

The system came with a factory remap which had actually been set up by KTM Sommer (the biggest dealer/tuning experts in Germany) and it has transformed the bike,plus the weight-saving is enormous.
