Hi after posting a thread regarding my shock on a 1150 Adventurer it has been found to be totally shot, As I am going abroad this weekend with full luggage I had to obtain a new Shock in a hurry, Phoned Wilbers in Germany and they built a new shock and had it delivered to my door in 3 days what service,
Question does anybody know what the static sag settings are for the old BMW as the difference between having the back wheel of the ground and just having the bike on the ground with no rider is 40mm, on other bikes this setting should be 5 to 10mm, Has this to do with the Paralever suspension, Also what should the Sag be between the bike of the ground and
with a rider perched on top. All measurements are for the rear shock,

Thanks tony

just bung it on & see how it rides, then adjust from there.

probably won't need much, but a bit of extra preload if you're carrying passenger/luggage :)

Wilbers are usually quite good at taking your description of what you need - weight, style of riding, etc - & building a shock with a decent basic setting. Most manufacturers also include instructions of what static sag is required... anything in the box the shock was delivered in?

In my experience of wilbers (with sportsbikes) they make them on the side of 'too hard'!!
