If I want to increase the ground clearance on my Standard GS can I simply swap the suspension units for the adv ones?

If so I might go for the Adv ohlins.

ADV shocks will go straight on, watch the side and main stands though as you will gain about 1" in groud clearance.

Cool, sounds good.

So does the Adv have a longer side stand?

I think (but could be wrong?) that the GSA uses the regular 1150 sidestand. A friends GSA leant over a long way on it's sidestand whilst my regular 1150 was fine.

I cut a piece of 1/2" aluminium plate, about 30% larger than standard & bolted it to his sidestand foot - all fine now.

Parts list quotes 2 part no's ADV 46 537 665 503 and the GS as 46 532 335 767, they might be the same, I cant tell.
