I bought this second hand about thirty years back from a mate. It had a winter service, and has not been used since, it has followed me round the country sitting at the back of the garage, waiting for the project that never happened.

It’s in pretty good condition, but I have not tried to start it. It turns over and all the controls work. I assume it will work fine.

I believe it is a 1987 model

I’ve photographed the corrosion - there’s a couple of patches where the paint wants doing

The prop is decent. It was on a 5m rib.

There’s a tank and hose too but the bulb on the hose is rigid, I’d assume a new hose is needed.

I assume it’s a 2 stroke engine.
If so, it may be worth trying to start it to prove the crank seals are ok as it’s been standing for 30 years or so. Many potential buyers may avoid if not running.
I had an engine many years ago that was a swine to start and then the running was very erratic until new seals were fitted.

Thanks Adrian,

Yes, it’s a two stroke, oil inject.

Honestly, I haven’t got a bench to hang it on, a pair of headphones for the water hose, nor a fuel pipe, so starting it is probably not an easy or cheap option. I should have sold it 25 years ago, but you know how it goes.

If anyone makes an offer, that would be great. If not…, dunno? I guess I’ll put ads in the local yacht/boat clubs

Cheers

You can run them up in a wheely bin full of water - the 240l bin is great for testing outboards

Put a video of it running on a few boating pages. Especially RIB type pages on FB - it will sell no problem and for more than your £200 too. Put £450 on it.
