suzuki dr200 any good

looking to buy a road legal bike that would be good off road and a neighbour is selling a 1990 dr200.

from the pics the bike looks in good condition but i have not seen it in the metal yet.are these any good or just to old for abuse now any advice gladly received

Never going to be the fastest thing in the world but being a 200 it will probably be a grey japanese import so the spec of suspension, rims etc will be better than a dr125.
They are robust enough if they have had regular oil and filter changes, but they are more than up for a bit of green laning.
