SV1000S ???

Maybe looking at buying a SV1000S for a bit of sporty riding. found this one on ebay and the price is about right too, has any one had one of these bikes before and can tell me what to look out for??

nowt really wrong with em, they are a riders bike thou , and like to be ridden hard

Engine knock

Listen for a knocking sound from the engine,this is caused by free play in the crank case bearings when hot.This does not cause running problems but can be very loud and off putting to some owners, Suzuki know about this and some bikes have been fixed under warranty,the old TL1000 suffered this problem but you could shim the end play on the crank but not on the SV.Otherwise a great bike.

Save yer cash and buy the real thing! A TL1000s is what you want, better engine IMHO and a hoot to ride when set up.
