SW Motec engine bars

Bought some of these engine bars for my 2004 650gs.
Has anyone else had a struggle fitting them - holes don't line up very well, instructions not very clear on spacers, long bolt not long enough to retain existing washers , mounting plates on the top engine bolts not parallel to the spacers.
Would have thought they should fit easier than this!

Did you buy the bars new?
A possibility of having been dropped if you got them used?
I have them on my Sertao,and are a good fit.

How's the bike running now?

Hi Ric

Did buy them new!
Drilled out the holes a couple of mils and managed to fit them OK.
Bit concerned with putting too much tension on the 2 bolts going into the engine cylinder head!

Bike is running fine now - took it out last Sunday for a good ride in the morning. Getting to like it more and more. Must be the easiest bike to ride I have ever owned!
