SW Motec Top box on a GSA

Motohaus, who import SW Motec kit in the UK, now tell me there’s no adapter available to fit a Trax Top box to my 1250 GSA, even if SW Motec’s website suggest there is.

They have offered a ‘universal ‘ fitting kit, which is a system of slotted clamps. It’s not really what I was expecting.

Has anyone gone through the same process?

Thanks. That’s the one the sent in error- only works with the alloy GS rack.

If you intend only to use the Trax top box this will suffice:

I assume this is what was referred to as the "universal" kit. It comes complete with all the necessary fixings to mount the the Trax top box.

I have a 2108 R1200GS and swapped out the standard luggage rack for one from the GSA and fitted one of these adapter plates. Providing you take your time selecting the right spacers and positions for the clamps, it works very well - rock solid.

I couldn’t wait for the importer to sort their sorry selves out and bought a Motorrad top box from my friendly local dealer.
