Well I have just fitted my SW Motech bars. I bought mine at BMW Bike Bits, but the cheapest place I have seen them is at;

They get a good review by comparison to the competition in this magazine although it is in German;

Instructions are easy to follow, and cleverly designed spacers keep it really neat. If I can fit them anyone can as I am mechanically incompetent. I did however demonstrate this by damaging the head of two hex bolts which secure the lower (metal) connecting strap into the belly pan guard thing. This is worrying as this will have to come off to change the oil filter. I have ordered replacement bolts, but will have to figure how to get the old ones out before service time. These were £80 cheaper than the BMW bars, so I don't want to waste the money I saved paying my BMW garage to sort this out! They look the part, and certainly seem to protect the cylinder heads and engine well.
