SW Motech Evo

Yes, I've got the City bag on my KTM 1290SA, with the optional map holder. It attaches & detaches well and the quality of the bag is very good & I wouldn't hesitate to have another.
It's not he biggest bag in the world, but it it expandable and I personally would not want anything bigger. The bag does not touch the tank when fitted.
Take some care to select the correct bag for the shape of your tank to make sure it will not touch the tank - there is some adjustment available in the positioning of the quick release mechanism.
The only difference between the original & the Evo version as far as I can see is that the Evo version of the quick release that fixes to the tank is slimmer.

I've had an Evo Daypack for a couple of years. A good piece of kit, used plenty but no real signs of wear.

Tank adaptor works well and so much less hassle when stopping for fuel.

No issues with my bag touching the tank, but good advice to check the shape of the bigger bags. The guys at Motohaus are pretty helpful, so you could try calling them to talk about fitting for your bike.

I have the non electric one and a smaller day bag. Both great bits of kit, well made and the fitting system is excellent. Easy to take the bag off and refit for refuelling, I have the optional lock too so I can lock it on to the bike although it wouldn't stop someone cutting open the bag with a knife.

I also have this Bag with 12V option etc, as previous comment excellent piece of Kit, toured Europe twice already with mine, also have the day pack >>

Not cheap but worth it, just changed to an LC and only had but the new ring £29 unlike everything else that cost a fortune >>>>>>

I too have one, but also the smaller bag. As per the above, well made kit that works well.

The only thing I'd mention if you did get one. Be sure to put some Duralac or similar on the bolts when you fit the ring. I can envisage those misbehaving at a later point if you don't...and in turn, mind how you undo the existing bolts.

Having used two of this style of bag from SW-Motech / Bags Connection, I simply wouldn't ever countenance using anything else :bow

Mine isn't waterproof though and I can't find my cover :fiddle

That's a good point actually. You will need the waterproof cover if you're in a heavy downpour or consistent heavy rain (I left mine in Italy if anyone had a spare!). But a shower won't do anything to it. Just keep the cover stashed somewhere

You can get replacement covers from motohaus for a reasonable price. I met them at the London show last year and they are a very helpful bunch :thumb2

I still have a magnetic tankbag from Oxford products. I bet they don't make them like it anymore, but it fits perfectly, and mine is at least 20 years old, possibly older. I can't remember how long ago I sold the Morini, which is what I had the bag for, but our son was only toddling and he is 26 now! If they still make them, Ican recommend them too - on the SW Motech front, I have the 600 size duffle drybag that straps across the back....bloody fantastic. Totally dry even after 800 miles through torrential downpour and high winds driving it.

Sounds daft, but I didn't bother looking cos I thought they wouldn't sell spares. But now you've said it, I'll get in touch with them
Yes indeed they are :thumby:

Alternatively, you could try looking in the side pocket of the bag :blast:augie
Nice idea. And when I couldn't find it (which was exactly when I needed it!) I did look in a few pockets. On this occasion, it was left with the flippin in-laws. Maddening!
