Anyone have one of these SW Motech tankbags?

Pros and cons please......

I have the original smaller version (Engage) - this is the Engage XL.

Pros:

Can be mounted or removed in seconds.
Comes with waterproof cover.
Comes with shoulder strap for when you're walking around.
Sits over the tank, so doesn't scratch the paintwork (it's not in contact with the tank.

Cons:
Mine is a bit small and the opening is even smaller, so this version should address these two issues.
Otherwise, none.

I have the electric version, though haven't used it on a long trip yet. The rear of the bag does touch the tank, though the material looks to be soft enough.

Unlike the useless BMW tank bag it is well supported at the sides and doesn't sound the horn on full lock.

I have the smaller version. Its great for when you are filling up, just unclip and fill up. No problems with it. It comes with a rain cover and you can get quite a bit of stuff in it.

I use the smaller version for when I am commuting, but I think the larger version would be good for touring

The blurb sounds ok to me.

Designed especially for the GS models.With its narrow cut front it will not get in the way of the handlebars.Despite the narrow form in the front , the "GS" offers a volume of 25litres.Detachable side pocket converts into a bum bag, complete with rain cover,shoulder straps and the option to fit a PDA/GPS.

The top section is expandable by unzipping the zip so should be usable for both short and long trips. Just like the way it attaches as I hate straps and covers running all over the tank. Was just worried the unsupported rear might rub on the tank if it wasn't soft enough.

I understand that it fits the Adv too. Bit all the photos I've seen look as if it would foul the handlebar brace. Do you need to set the bars upright or take the padding off the brace to make it fit?
I'm interested but I'm not punting £130 just to find out it's cr4p.

I have it on my 1200GSA. I don't have the handlebar brace fitted, as I have a Wunderlich handlebar bag and some other bits in that area, but I can't see that it would be a problem.

I've used the smaller one on my 1150GSA (superior bike, of course) - twice around Europe with no probs. Good for wallet, mobile, sunnies etc... plus the detachable map pocket on the top that is a really good size... great bit of kit.
