I have sw motech kobra hand protectors on my GS adventure 09

I'm having a nightmare connecting up the Led..... I know I need a resistor to trick the can bus and When I look on the sw motech website there's 2 choices

1 for 21 watt indicators and 1 for 10 watt indicators so ive ordered the 10 watt version but I've just checked the indicators I have and there 5 watt Led not 10 or 21 watt?

I'm now concerned the resisters I'm getting wont trick my can bus.

Anybody have any experience with this?

Sw motech site says r1200 gsa 04-LC for the 10 watt version but the 04 model didn't have Led's on it did it?

Hi, sounds a bit of a mix up somewhere, try wiring with what you have ordered before binning them, I'm pretty sure they'll work ok. Low current draw so the canbus may assume they're within limits anyway.

Thanks for the reply Phil but im pleased to say its now sorted don't even need resistors :-)

I assumed brown and blue were brown + blue -. On a bmw its the other way round which is crazy so Initially I had reverse polarity

I just hooked them up at first on there own and they worked blinking fast with a lampf error which is what I expected but was just glad to see them lit.

Then I hooked them up with the original blinkers and because there only 1w the canbus seems happy no errors and both blinking away happy.

This is how I wanted them to work with front indicators on the hand guards and in the stock position so its worked out sweet.

Hi, I thought the canbus would overlook them, u gonna put a piccy up on here for us all to see.?
I fitted a similar set to my mates honda VFR in the summer, didn't use resistors either, still working ok too..
