I have the original type tank bag but it's getting a bit tired and the zip broke about 5 years ago - now replaced with cable ties. I'd actually like a smaller bag and obviously can't use a magnetic one so I've been looking at the SW Motech ones which have the mounting ring screwed to the tank filler. Anyone have any experience of these and, in particular, which ones suit the 1100/1150 tank contour?

Just a thought - when I used to tour on my K75 (alloy tank) I used to make a sandwich of gaffer tape and iron washers an stick a strip to each side of the tank which allowed me to use a magnetic tank bag

Excellent :) a true Yorkshireman's fix.

I bought one years ago, but if I remember correctly there were then two types that fitted well. I finally went for the one callled "GS". For some reason this one fitted well... :D
I had to mount the mounting ring at the bag as far forward as possible, as I have my bars rised and moved back. Works OK.
They also had another smaller bag with the same form factor (sloping tank). This was probably the "Engage" as previously stated.

The system works OK, but not great. When remounting you have to open the bag, put your hand through all you stuff and press the bottom plate to engage the lock. The rear part of the bag is rubbing the tank. Some sort of protector here is a good idea.

The screws included with the tank ring developed rust immediately...
