I've now fitted my SW Motech Tank Bars to one side of the GS, and installed the Hella Micro DE (which I've converted to H3 HID). The ballasts for the HID DE conversion are mounted on Les' excellent HID bracket which mounts to the oil cooler

(you just need to modify the SW Motech Tank Bars a bit depending on how you fit the ballasts
)
One thing that may be a problem is that the SW Motech Tank Bars do not allow the Micro DE's to mount horizontally (across the bike, they are obviously adjustable for 'throw' on their own bracket) - i.e. the Micro DE's have a horizontal 'cut off' but, when mounted on the Tank Bars, the cut off is 'angled', making the beam higher to one side than the other (obviously, with both fitted, the 'high points' are opposite, giving a 'saw-tooth' effect). Therefore it is difficult to decide where to set them (I use them as driving lights, so need them to have maximum visibility to others, but not 'blind them' - especially with HID's fitted
).
I can't see any way I can adject the bars to make the mounting level
, therefore the solution (if it's a real problem) is a 'wedge' or two to 'level them up'
Anyone found the same?
