Sw Motech Trax boxes.

Any one fitted these to R1200GS/07 yet.
Thinking of replacing my vario side boxes with the Trax ones.
Any info and pictures would be appreciated.

I have bought the pannier rack from SW-motech and fitted old Kappa luggage to my 07 1200 for now. I have bought a set of racks for SWMBO's f650 as well so we can share the panniers. Hopefully she will let me buy the panniers some time soon.

The racks are a doddle to fit and because you can remove them they don't make the bike look crap when you don't have panniers fitted. You need to buy the lockable quick release bolts so some else doesn't quick release them and nick you belongings.

I found that the racks make the bike very wide as the panniers do not fit round the exhaust. The Trax may be better as you can buy a narrower one for the left hand side. Also the rack rests against the BOS carbon fibre exhaust and has marked it . It is only about 3 mm but it is annoying.

There has been a serious shortage of Trax panniers. Does anyone know if that has been sorted?

Thanks for the info. I have been in touch with Motohaus and they say the fitting kits are in stock, but there is a 2/3 week wait for the boxes.
