Sitting in the dealer waiting for the LC to get its 6k service I'm starting to affirm my suspicions that I should have brought a new or used GSA instead. Whenever I see one now I look at them longingly! At the time I brought the LC I'd never owned a GS and the size of the adventure just seemed daft. After the initial culture shock of 15 years on sportsbikes I've grown to really like the LC, but 12 months on and given the choice again between my LC or a fully kitted GSA TC I'd definitely go with the GSA.

Unfortunately I just can't bring myself to px the latest model for the previous generation. :blast

I understated your dilemma , I was like that with girlfriends:green gri

While I'm sat in the dealer looking at all the GSAs yes, on the ride home on my LC probably not. When I get home and I'm sat in the garden enjoying the sun yes.

You used to be indecisive but now you're not too sure?

quite a few on here done the same, including me.as someone on here once said.try them both and then buy the gsa.

If you are serious then you may be better posting in the Wanted and Hex Head sections ;)

Please don't post in the Hexhead section - its been on topic and useful ever since the WC brigade left for their own section of the forum :D

To each his own, but I wouldn't trade my GS-LC for a GSA even if there was no additional cost. Subjectively, all that extra stuff around the radiators makes it look very round and unwieldy (a bike should not look like a ball from the front). Objectively, that stuff keeps cooling air off your legs in the summer, and the tank itself is fatter between your legs than the GS tank. I also don't need a larger windshield or 300 mile range, most of the people I ride with get <200 miles per tank anyway. And the stock BMW crash bars seem pretty weak by comparison to the aftermarket stuff. YMMV, obviously.

Oh the joys of owning a toilet GS :)

I was referring to swapping for an "old" 2013 twin cam GSA not the new model. All the opinions you hold about the GSA are valid and were exactly the same when I was looking for my first GS last year. Like I said it's just a thought I had and my post was somewhat hypothetical anyway, killing time in the dealer cafe! I love both but in hindsight I know given the same choice again I'd pick up a TC GSA. I'm not trying to divide opinion or suggest one is better than the other.

When I win the euro millions tonight I'll have a couple of each. Oh hang on apparently you have to buy a ticket first! :blast

ive got one of the last proper gsa 90th editions and and wouldnt swap for a wc gsa toilet let alone a vanilla, they just dont do it for me im afraid

Not so sure you would want one once you rode one. maybe if youd never tried the wc. Try one after your gs wc and it will feel archaic, pleasant and smooth to ride but a bit lethargic after the fiesty WC.

Does have that certain tonka toy appeal though.

You'll have one, one day.:rob:P I've bookmarked this post.:D

But when it's time to change, and they've ironed any problems out, you'll have one.:thumb

I for one wouldn't wanna go back in time...
Traded my sorted 11 plate GSA (which I enjoyed at the time) but couldn't go backwards now...
Gs WC lovin it, just lovin it..
