Hi folks, coming to the final payment on my PCP, having the option to purchase the 1200gs Exclusive 2018 10,000m £9K should I bye or move to the new f900xr. Thanks in advance:nenau

You've paid gazilions every month and probably a deposit. You've done every single mile, washed it and servicedit(via a dealer). So you know the bike.

Check if the balance to pay versus value and if you simply fancy something else.

Then decide.

Seems a good deal. I’d buy if I was you.

Depends.... if you REALLY REALLY want something else, part ex, or as some have said, buy it, then part ex it against a new/different bike.....
Only you can answer the question.....but I would say Buy it.

Having recently traded in a 1200gs Exclusive 2017 non-tft with nearly 10,000m on it, I can tell you that 9k is a good amount under p/x value (I mean genuine p/x value so that any money off the new bike was separate rather than added to the p/x). So if you did want to upgrade you have the opp to discuss p/x value with the dealer - gfv is simply that, a gfv, not the p/x value.

viffer...say bye to the 1200 & buy the 1250...The engine is day & night better :thumby:
If an XR go with the 1000 as the 900 is literally only half the bike the 1000 is !

Exactly! Not so cheap now is it? :blast

There's no point looking at it like that, the money already paid is lost whatever happens. if the market value of the bike is say £11.5k and you let it go back for nothing, that's another £2.5k lost.

I know what I'd do, I'd contact one of the local bike buyers and see what they'd offer. if its £9K or more you can't really loose anything. Pay the £9k and keep it or sell to them. If you use We Buy Any Bike they'll offer a silly low price but will come back with something better if you don't respond, but it'll still be lower than some of the others. A GS will sell all day long if it's in good nick. Allegedly there's a shortage of S/H bikes right now so they're paying high.

I know it's a different part of the country OP but you could try Optimum Bikes or I Buy Any Bike in York, it'll give you an idea. I know they'll collect but don't knot how far they'd travel.

10 per cent or so better power wise but day & night better in smoothness - its a step change
