I don't know if this is the correct section to use, but.....

My insurance is due shortly, and the best quote so far is with Swinton who promise a cash back after 3 months.

As I've never used this company, has anyone any experience of them. The policy on offer is through Aviva.

Many thanks

Mike

No recent experience but they've been going for at least 30 years. They used to have high street brokerages.

I was a fan, until they gave me an inflated renewal. I checked online, and got a cheaper quote from their website.

Phoned them up, gave the woman the internet quote number - she claimed that she couldn't access that quote and could not get anywhere near that figure.

They are just cheating cnuts, like the rest of them.

If you're happy with the quote - take it - at least there could be a local office you can visit - to throw a heap of fcuks into them if they don't perform. :thumb2

I have my blade the gs my work van and liability insurance with them, you do have to web check every year as like all insurance companies they get greedy (that's why I left Nash and bennets!) but they have always honoured the web quote and been helpful.:beerjug:

Swinton are a broker not an insurance company - so your cover will be provided by another company/underwriter. As Dinger says they have been trading for years and still have High Street offices all over the country. If the quote's good and the cover matches your needs (funny how many people forget that bit!) go for it. :thumb2

I use Swinton. I have had the £30 cashback 2 years running.
I also use topcashback.co.uk and get ANOTHER £27.27p cashback.

My insurance for the ZZR600 was £5 after the cashbacks :D:D

They are a pain, they do cough up on the cashback but will try and flog u all sorts of other shite you dont want. Just the same as all the others though to be fair.

I was the same for my zxr 400. £6.70 for the year, after the cashback through Swinton and i also used quidco for a furhter £30 cashback. £66.70 premium for £6.70 (£30 cashback from Swinton, £30 from quidco) Bargain.

Swinton will forgo the stupid cash back bollex if you get frustrated/mad enough (and I was) :D

Always, always, always check prices through at least one of the price comparison websites before you accept any renewal - I've saved both me and relatives a bloody fortune these passed few years

And NEVER put your phone number into the price comparison site when it asks you to. I always put in 01234 567890

I'm sure these folks are really grateful to you for doing that.......

Indeed that is harsh. Why not do something sensible with the number you put into the comparison site. Like a list of cold caller numbers, that you may have collated over the last year or so that have phoned your mobile/house phone number and enter that in instead. :beerjug:

That's not a REAL number. They've just put that in to fill a gap.

You're quite correct - dialling it produces "The number you have dialled has not been recognised".

However, it could have been - 01234 is a Bedfordshire STD code.

Many thanks for your replies.

If they answer a few key questions to my liking, I'll be going with them.

So I have been talking like you to SWINTON they seem very professional and tuned in, I am offered Wing £21k value and £6k miles and GSA £12k value and 15k milage..personal accident included if its not my fault during accident
breakdown is paid monthly ...which totals £558.00
