For those of you eagerly awaiting Magnum's Swiss September sojourn, I thought I might share some pics from the first day of June. Memories of a long cold Swiss winter have now faded, the summer gear is back on and the passes are open (well, most of them anyway).

The route chosen is an easy day run out of Geneva with a small motorway slog to get to Aigle before turning into the mountains and heading for Les Diablarets and the pass at Col du Pillon. The road up is good, with a couple of rough patches and narrow at times, but the scenery means fast turns are really not required here.

Once on the other side of the Col, one can continue on to Interlaken, or in my case head back towards Geneva via Col du Juan. Once again, narrow, but good road, with brilliant views.

Parked up on a nice side road on the Col, which, while looking very tempting, was clearly indicated as Verboten(!!) for those using more than muscle power!

So late lunch and I went for the low calorie Rosti... :drool

Swiss5.jpg

and cast a quizzical eye on the other steeds that showed up...

Swiss4.jpg

Easy day, sun and good riding. What more could you want in life?

Don't tell me the pics are not showing up....

I have endless problems with this site not linking properly to picasa (it is probably the other way around...)
:blast

Anyway, try again, with the photos migrated to Photobucket...
