Anyone have any experience of fitting an Intaride/Autocom/Starcom headset to a System 5 lid please?

Have tried the lid for size, happy with that and the deal that Prestige will do for me, the only thing holding me back is the nuts and bolts of fitting my headset.

I've looked at the Autocom site instructions but they dont appear to be that detailed.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

If you hurry up and buy it Guy will I'm sure fit it for you as long as you avoid a busy day. Failing that any good BMW dealer worth their sort should be prepared to help you out, assuming they got the sale that is ;)

Though a quick phone call to Autocom and Sam Wray or one of the other chaps will tell you all you need to know.

Step 3

remove ear pad and turn it over, inside you will find a small pocket which takes your earpieces, wire from speaker passes thru a small hole in back of earpiece pocket, wiring fits round the back of helmet under neck piece, microphone fits between top of earpiece and hemlet, its a tight fit for microphone.

PS. Cheek pad is a tight fit so be careful when pulling it out....

Thanks Andy, thanks Mick. Guy has already left Prestige, spoke to Simon who tried to help but didn't have the info at hand. I think Mick has sorted it for me.

Mick,
The only part I have an issue with now is where do you run the boom from for the mic? there's no obvious channel, unlike the System 4.

That's excellent Mick, cleared up all my worries, I'll be off to get my new lid tomorrow then.
Thanks again.
