System 5 & Panniers

Word of warning if thinking of a system 5 helmet (got one and great helmet). It will not fit in to ether the system or adventure alloy panniers! Just tried it. Wont even go halfway in the alloy boxes. Tried several ways but can`t close the lid on ether of the system panniers. So have to ether chain it to the bike or lug it arround with you. Not sure about the 1200 expanding type. Just somthing else to think about when buying.

S5 Helmet

Fits fine when GS1200 panniers/topbox are expanded. And it is the quietest yet.

Anyone paid silly money for the new WCS1 bluetooth stuff for the Sys 5? Does it work? Can it switch smartly between phone and other bluetooth devices?

Well I'm glad to hear it fits in the 1200GS box! Was really miffed when I bought one and discovered it doesn't fit in my 1150GS panniers. Not the cleverest thing BMW has done, design it so that its wider than the old S4!

Not a bad helmet though!!

Saw the new bluetooth set up a couple of days ago at my dealers. Came already fitted to a helmet - is it true that only silver helmets are available with it ready fitted? Looks neat and tiny mikes up above the brows but pretty pricy.
